Dr Marcela Cox
MBBS (Hons I), FRACGP, DCH
Dr. Marcela Cox graduated in 1990 with First Class Honours from The University of Sydney. She worked in Concord Hospital prior to training in General Practice and joined LGP in 2002.
Dr. Cox has a special interest, training and experience in children's and women's health. She provides pregnancy care for women through the Shared Antenatal Program at RPAH Women & Babies and enjoys assisting women with gynaecological, contraceptive and menopause issues.
When not in practice, Dr. Cox is involved in general practitioner assessment and maintenance of general practice standards. From 2010-2017, she was Censor for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) NSW & ACT Faculty and continues with the College as a Quality Assurance examiner. She also regularly works as a Hearing Member for the Medical Council of NSW, and Deputy Director of the Professional Services Review. These important roles may result in Dr. Cox being away from practice from time to time.

Certificate of Advanced training in Women’s Health (RACGP)
Fellowship of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (awarded medal for the highest mark in the RACGP examinations)
Diploma of Child Health (University of Sydney).
